Winter care for tropical plants

By Mira Holt

In winter most houseplants slow down, so they need less water. Check the soil with a finger before watering, not the calendar.

Move plants away from cold glass and away from radiators. Group them together to keep the air around them a little more humid.

Skip fertiliser until spring, and wipe dusty leaves so they catch what light there is.
